Community service and involvement are top-priorities for the ValleyCats.

Nominated three times for Minor League Baseball’s John Henry Moss Community Service Award, which recognizes outstanding, on-going commitment to charitable service, support, and leadership within their local community and within the baseball industry, the ValleyCats are always out visiting schools, participating in charitable events, and giving back to the people that support them.

Annually, the ValleyCats make 175+ community and fundraiser appearances, many including the most recognizable mascot in the Capital Region – SouthPaw! The ValleyCats donate goods, services, and financial support to over 460 events, and visit or host over 30 schools and libraries with Highmark Blue Shield Northeastern New York’s Summer Reading Program.

Overall, the ValleyCats create over $500,000 in annual community support!
