Bio
2026 is Jim's third year with the ValleyCats and he comes here fulfilling a dream of working in professional baseball. Jim brings a wealth of business experience with him and a lifelong love of the game of baseball.
Prior to joining the ValleyCats, Jim was the founder and owner of CFO for Hire which is an outsourced operational accounting solution. In 2017 Jim sold CFO for Hire to BST & Co, CPA’s. After the sale, Jim became the partner in charge of the CFO for Hire Division of the company. Prior to founding CFO for Hire Jim held a variety finance positions in the financial services industry.
Jim brings a long tradition of baseball with him. Jim was an all-conference player at Oneonta State University. Jim’s dad (Wally) played in the Milwaukee Braves organization and his dad is a member of both the Twilight League Hall of Fame and the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame.
In his free time Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending pro sporting events and he is an avid golfer. Jim also makes an occasional, what he calls, “baseball road trips” in an effort to get to every major league ballpark. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Business-Economics from Oneonta State University and a master’s degree in finance from Adelphi University.
Jim resides in Guilderland with his wife Mary and he has three grown children CJ, Kasey and Mackenzie.

Fun Fact About Jim: Jim is following in the footsteps of his daughter Mackenzie who worked for the ValleyCats as well. Her claim to fame was she was "Spiedie" the chicken for musical chairs.
